Avixanthin 100
Avixanthin 100 is a stabilized and micro-granulated red coloring pigment containing 10 % synthetically produced canthaxanthin which has been used successfully worldwide as a carotenoid in poultry for more than 40 years.
In addition Avixanthin 100 is widely used for the flesh pigmentation of salmon and trout as well as for coloring ornamental fish.
From scientific literature it is known that canthaxanthin – like several other carotenoids – fulfils a number of important biological functions.
