In 2015, Nuevo launched the first production processing line of former foods (surplus foods from the manufacturing process of certain products for human consumption) in Greece and has since entered into partnerships with some of the country’s largest food producing companies. We recover surplus materials from food manufacturers and turn them into nutritionally balanced, high performance animal feed ingredients that are environmentally friendly, cost effective and increase productivity. Formulating with surplus foods contributes to a more efficient and sustainable use of scarce resources and sets an example of circular economy in practice.
